Back Packing Manager

Job descriptions:

• Manages and oversees the packaging staff on designated shift to achieve operational objectives.
• Observes, analyzes, and researches packaging line operation to develop and implement scientific and efficient process.
• Implements quality control check to ensure the packaging meets environment, health, and safety regulations.
• Provides staff with directions on materials and equipment for each package.
• Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.
• Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• True first level manager.
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
• Has full authority for personnel actions.
• Extensive knowledge of department processes.
• Manage the packaging of all parts suppliers and contract packagers for damage effectiveness, quality, space utilization and cost.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Preferred in packaging engineering, business or management.
• Requires 5 years of experience in metal stamping industry. 
• 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
• Understanding of supply chain activities including transportation, warehousing, distribution and systems.
• Proven leadership skills that motivates, generate pride and enhance respect for others.
• Self-starter, proactive, open-minded, positive approach.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to successfully motivate and coach others.
• Highly effective multi-tasker.
• Required language (s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• Salary RM4500-RM5000 (Depends on experiences)
